Night of the Arts

MHS Student Council organized the first ever Night of the Arts where the Practical Arts and Fine Arts departments were able to display student work. The event was held on April 13, 2012.

 

Project Graduation Dancing with the Stars

Project Graduation hosted a Dancing with the Stars event on March 3, 2012. The event was a huge success many members of the community came out to support our dancers by packing the gym and enjoying a fun night. Utah Findley and Leslie Thomas were crowned the top dancers of the evening.

Blood Drive 2012

Student Council sponsored the spring blood drive on March 6, 2012, in the High School gym. Throughout the day MHS faculty, staff, and students donated enough blood to save over 300 people in Southwest Missouri.

Rally Day 2012

Rally Day week was January 16-20, 2012. The week kicked off with the spirit week dress up days and concluded with the Black Out Dance on Saturday night. Spirit week activities included; Tuesday was Crazy Apparel day, Wednesday was Random Prop Day, Thursday was Black Out day, and Friday was BLEED BLUE day. 

On Friday Seniors Tanner Christoph and Andrea Cleek were crowned Rally Day Royalty. The MHS Blue Jay basketball team demolished the Ava Bears wining the game 73-43.

Student Council Hosts Annual Volleyball Tournament

Student Council sponsored their annual volleyball tournament to collect cans for the Webster County Food Pantry. Each participant was encouraged to bring at least one canned good to be eligible to play in the tournament. Over 60 students and 12 faculty participated in the volleyball tournament.

Student Council Holds Annual Blood Drive

MHS Student Council and the Community Blood Center of the Ozarks teamed up to hold the annual MHS blood drive on November 14, 2011. Throughout the day MHS faculty, staff, and students donated 131 units of blood to be used in Southwest Missouri.
