Marshfield Speech and Debate Go to Parkview

Every competing event in a high school has a school they consider to be “top notch”. For Marshfield’s speech and debate team, that school is Parkview.
“This tournament has been known nationally as a quality tournament with a high level of competition,” said speech coach Greg Holtschneider.
On Jan. 28 and 29, the speech and debate team attended the level tournament with hope high. The team had multiple advancements and victories. For individual victories you can see the chart below.
The team had another successful tournament and not just for varsity. The novice group, or first time competitors, finished 11th out of 41 schools which is considered a big success.
Out of the 41 schools, Marshfield’s varsity finished 4th for the second year in a row, being just 5 points shy of reaching 3rd place.
